Norway Maple Platter

This piece in Norway maple came from a trunk that caught my attention immediately — its line, and above all, that knot. As I carved into it, it revealed its full character.

A soft, almost fluid line runs through the piece, marked by rougher traces left by the tree itself. It lives in that contrast: the quiet clarity of the wood and the darker imprint that grounds the form.

Part of the Vib collection, this piece is designed for the table — to serve, to be shared, and to move naturally within it, bringing presence as much as purpose.
